IPL Playoff Schedule 2019: Complete fixtures and venues for IPL 2019 Playoffs
IPL Playoff Schedule 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you complete fixtures and venues of IPL 2019 Playoffs.
The league stage of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League has finally come to an end. Having commenced on March 23, the tournament witnessed 56 matches over the last 44 days.
With all teams having played 14 matches till now, there is full clarity on who will play whom and when in the imminent playoff stage of the tournament.
In Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, three teams had already reached the playoff stage before today. The last available spot was to be contested between one out of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Mathematically, even Kings XI Punjab had a chance. But their qualification required a magical an near-impossible victory on their part.
With Indians defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in the last league match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Knight Riders are effectively out of the tournament. Before the last match, both Sunrisers and Knight Riders were at the same position with 12 points to their name.
The only way for KKR to qualify was to win the match against MI. With Hyderabad’s (0.577) Net Run Rate better than Kolkata (0.028), they have walked straight into the playoffs. While others might consider SRH to be lucky, their qualification is a reward of them possessing a handsome run rate.
IPL Playoff Schedule 2019:
Qualifier 1 – 07/05/2019 – Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings at Chennai.
Eliminator – 08/05/2019 – Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad at Vizag.
Qualifier 2 – 10/05/2019 – Loser of first Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator at Vizag.
Final – 12/05/2019 – Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2 at Hyderabad.
