When MI stepped into this match, they needed to win the game to stay alive in the competition. However, Delhi had stepped up their game in the last matches and it did not seem an easy task for Mumbai.
DD got off to a decent start with Maxwell coming out to open the batting along with Prithvi Shaw. After the openers got out, it was Rishabh Pant who came good again. With Vijay Shankar contributing in the lower middle order, DD reached to 174 for 4.
Evin Lewis batted well for MI but the other batsmen failed to respond. Despite a late surge from Ben Cutting, MI fell short by 11 runs.
