WATCH: Neil Wagner grabs stunning one-handed catch to dismiss David Warner in Perth
Neil Wagner grabs stunning one-handed catch: The Kiwi spearhead gifted his team with a huge wicket before lunch on Day 1.
During the first day of the first Test of the ongoing New Zealand’s tour of Australia in Perth, New Zealand fast bowler Neil Wagner dismissed Australia opening batsman David Warner at the stroke of lunch to give a huge blow to the home team.
It all happened on the fourth delivery of the 26th over when Warner mis-timed a defensive poke as he lobbed the ball towards the the right of the bowler.
Still into his follow through, Wagner was alert enough to bend down on time to grab a one-handed stunner to dismiss Warner. Opening the batting with Joe Burns (9), Warner ended up scoring 43 (74) with the help of four fours.

Having survived the difficult part of the innings, the southpaw was looking set to continue his stellar form. Having nearly gifted his wicket, Warner was appearing disappointed as he was walking back to the pavilion.
It was New Zealand captain Kane Williamson who brought back Wagner for his second spell before the lunch break. In Trent Boult’s absence, Wagner stood tall on the expectations bestowed upon him.
Warner’s wicket saw the hosts ending the first session of the series at 76/2 in 27 overs. While Wagner dismissed Wagner, all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme was the first Kiwi bowler to taste blood today.

Williamson: Trent Boult isn’t available to bowl left arm swing and take a ridiculous catch. Do we have any volunteers to take over that role?
