Cristiano Ronaldo refuses to wear Juventus’ captain armband in a victory by 3-1 against Udinese in the matchday 16 of the Serie A.

Juventus is level on points against Inter Milan after the former won against Udinese in the 16th game-week of Serie A, meanwhile the Nerazurris ended up in a draw against Fiorentina.

Ronaldo has kind of regained his form as he scored a brace to help his side win 3-1 against Udinese. This could certainly give the Portuguese International some confidence as he made a slow start to this campaign by being away from the score-sheets.

Even though Ronaldo scored two brilliant goals, yet the headlines were different. During the 80th minute of the game, Gonzalo Higuain was substituted for Douglas Costa.

the ex-Chelsea striker removed the captain’s armband – which he’d inherited from Bonucci – and passed it to Ronaldo. However, the 34-year-old star decided not to wear it and run towards Blaise Matuidi and helped him fin fixing the band on his left arm.

It’s believed that Ronaldo made the decision because Matuidi has played for Juventus for one year longer than himself. Thus, making a classic gesture, which was applauded later by everyone.

With the brace, Juventus star was rewarded as the man of the match. In the first goal, he scored through a superb half volley and then doubling up with a one-on-one finish was enough to move him up the goal-scoring charts and assuage any of Maurizio Sarri’s concerns.

Later, Leonardo Bonucci put Juventus 3-1 up in the 45th minute, there could be no doubting that the Old Lady was going to bag three points and keep pace with Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan.

Juventus is aiming to maintain its Serie A dominance and is surely making life tough for the local rivals. Meanwhile, the Turin based clubs are drawn against Lyon in the next round of the Champions League.
