Ivan Perisic has been impressive for Croatia at the World Cup, and is now attracting interest from Manchester United.

Manchester United are infamous for being linked with a large number of players during the course of every transfer window. And similar to the last summer and this January, they have been linked with a move for Croatian forward Ivan Perisic.

The same comes out of French media reports which claim that the Red Devils are in advanced talks with the World Cup finalist.

Perisic has been one of Inter Milan’s standout performers in the past few seasons and has been on United’s wish list since the appointment of Jose Mourinho.

Finally after two years, the Portuguese manager’s wish could be fulfilled as he’ll manage to sign the player who scored and assisted in the semi-final against England.

While a transfer fee for Perisic is not yet confirmed or spoken of, it could involve a player plus cash deal including Italian right back Matteo Darmian. Darmian has been linked with a loan move to the San Siro’s blue and black outfit, but he could leave permanently if he’s used as a bait to complete Perisic’s signing by Ed Woodward.

Ivan Perisic’s representatives are expected to fly to the United Kingdom to finalise things with United’s directors.

Perisic’s signing could quite surely spell the end of Anthony Martial at the Theatre of Dreams.

The Frenchman signed from AS Monaco in Monaco and enjoyed a brilliant first season under Dutch boss Louis van Gaal, but wasn’t given a great number of chances under Jose Mourinho, especially in the former Real Madrid boss’ second year in charge of the club.

Tottenham Hotspur are one outfit that have been linked with a move for the 22 year old wantaway winger.
