Jose Mourinho reveals his family dog passed away on Christmas day in pre-match interview
Jose Mourinho reveals his family dog passed away on the Christmas day during the pre-match interview ahead of the game against Brighton.
Jose Mourinho’s side won against Brighton by 2-1 after coming from behind. But it was a sorrowful start of the day for Jose Mourinho, who revealed that he was unhappy because his dog died on the Christmas day.
In the pre-match interview with Mourinho, the Portuguese manager revealed this information after he was asked about his Christmas day just before his side was set to step up on the pitch against Brighton.
“To be honest, it was very sad because my dog died and my dog is my family,” the Spurs boss replied. “But we have to move on.” he concluded.

Mourinho’s dog was a Yorkshire Terrier but its age was unknown. Meanwhile, Mourinho was on the verge of shedding tears while he talked about his pet in the interview.
Nevertheless, Mourinho had a good end to the day as his side won a hard-earned victory. Tottenham Hotspur conceded first in the game after Adam Webster headed the ball past Paulo Gazzaniga.
But soon the game had to turn into Spurs’ favour, Harry Kane, the star striker of the North London club equalized the score and later Mourinho’s men took the lead after Dele Alli lobbed the ball past Mathew Ryan.
Heung Min Son was being missed by the team, as his pace provides added strength to the attack, but due to his violent conduct against Chelsea in the previous game-week, he has been suspended for 3 games after picking a red card.
With this, Tottenham’s unbeaten streak on the Premier League’s boxing day matches continues. The North London club sits at the 5th position after this game as for now.
