Here is how Arsenal could lineup against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

Arsenal will go head-to-head against Newcastle United in a late kick on Sunday night. The Gunners are aware of the competition for a spot in the top four and Unai Emery will be aiming no lesser than three points to keep the fourth place intact.

The hosts have played all their top six rivals which means that the Gunners are left with games against smaller teams than Unai Emery’s side. Even though Arsenal have struggled away from home, their form at the Emirates has been superlative, to say the least. Their only defeat this season came against Manchester City in the opening day of the Premier League this campaign.

On the other hand, Newcastle United have won only one game against the top six this season. The Magpies have been in good form off late with three victories from the last four games, forcing themselves out of the relegation contention. Even though they are five points away from the drop, they will be aiming for another two victories. With the new record signing of Miguel Almiron, Rafa Benitez’s side have the much-needed creativity to exploit the opposition.

It will be a gripping contest as both the sides have been on the up over the last month.

Injury News

Aaron Ramsey and Nacho Monreal have trained ahead of the Monday clash, whilst Lucas Torreira will face suspension because of the late red card he received against Tottenham Hotspur. The Uruguyuan International will not be available for the game against Magpies followed by the away trip to Everton next week.

Denis Suarez, who has not started a game since his loan move from Barcelona is reportedly in line to break into the starting eleven for the first time under Unai Emery. The Spaniard could replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan through the attacking flank of the right-hand side.

“I think yes [he is doing well]. It is normal to take time [to settle].

“I think he is okay for starting in the first 11 or for giving us this impact after. But I think now, our focus is collectively very strongly focused on helping in 90 minutes, or 50 minutes, or one minute. We are going to need every player for the next matches.” said Unai Emery.

PREDICTED LINEUP:

Arsenal: Bernd Leno, Ainsley Maitland Niles, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Laurent Koscielny, Sead Kolasinac, Matteo Guendouzi, Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka, Denis Suarez, Alexander Lacazette, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.
