Man Utd transfer news: Borussia Dortmund beat Red Devils in the race for Erling Haaland. The teenager was rumoured to make a move to the Old Trafford in January.

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the shock signing of teenage sensation Erling Haaland. The youngster had caught the attention of Europe’s top clubs after lighting the Champions league with his inspired performance.

It was rumoured that he would join Manchester United in January and reunited with former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, he has instead made a move to Germany where he will continue his development at Borussia Dortmund.

The club announced the move on their social media. The deal is a bargain at £18million and will run until 2024.

Manchester United, who have repeatedly spoken of their desire and need to add to their attack will feel the sting of missing out on the talented striker. Borussia Dortmund on the other hand, have suddenly made their attack even more terrifying.

The German Club will hope that he can continue his form from the Group Stage of the Champions league that saw him score 8 goals in 6 appearances. With RB Salzburg out of the Champions league, he is available to play for them in their round of 16 match against PSG.
