Premier League VAR need to learn implementation from Australian VAR
Premier League VAR needs to look at implementation done by the Australian VAR as the poor usage of technology compels fans to criticize it.
The debut season of the VAR in the Premier League has been full of controversies, there have been many objectionable decisions and many times it has contradicted itself.
The problem is so significant that several managers and players in the league have come out to criticize it openly. Thus, the reform in its implementation is a huge requirement.
On the other side, there are numerous number of leagues in the world who have adopted the implementation of the system. Now, many fans on the internet believe that the Premier League should follow Australian VAR’s implementation.
Sydney FC defender Rhyan Grant dived into a Melbourne City player and was booked by the referee. However, VAR intervened and awarded a red card to the 28-year-old.
But the audio was revealed of the chat between the officials and fans think it’s a method the Premier League should adopt. The audio fully breaking down why the card was upgraded offered a fascinating insight into how decisions are made.
This is a conversation between a referee and VAR when they decided to upgrade a yellow card to red in the A-League.
This is brilliant and informative stuff.

It is also easier for fans to understand what’s going on rather than being left in limbo for minutes on end. Last night also there were objectionable decisions made by the VAR.
This is amazing. Fast decision, ref takes professionaly the advice from VAR to check for a red card and calmly changes his decision. Masterclass in Australia.

First, the VAR did not check Sadio Mane’s goal after the alleged handball was detected on Virgil Van Dijk, in defence, it was called as an inconclusive foul.
Later, the VAR denied Pedro Neto his equalizer for the Wolves but VAR denied it due to Jonny Castro’s slightest of the offside stand. Thus, to be more transparent VAR should adopt the audio release feature.
