Darren Lehmann’s Twitter account gets hacked: Brisbane Heat coach’s Twitter account hacked during Heat vs Thunder match.
Opening batsman Tom Banton’s second-fastest Big Bash League half-century played a pivotal role in Brisbane Heat defeating Sydney Thunder by 16 runs (D/L Method) at the Showground Stadium earlier today.
Having scored 56 (19) with the help of two fours and seven sixes in an eight-over contest, Banton propelled Heat to score 119/4 in eight overs.

Having won the third of their sixth match this season, Brisbane are at the fifth position in the points table. Thunder, who lost the third of their seventh match today, are still above Heat at No. 4.
Brisbane Heat coach’s Twitter account hacked
While most things went right for the visitors today, one particular incident which didn’t go down well was head coach Darren Lehmann’s social media platform Twitter account getting hacked. Apart from changing the name of the account, the hacker has also changed its profile picture.

The news was made public by Heat’s official Twitter account when they informed one and all about the news during their match against Sydney.

Hi Heat fans, thanks for the messages. We are aware our coach Darren Lehmann’s Twitter account has been hacked and are working closely with Twitter to rectify the situation. We apologise for any offence caused this evening.#BBL09

In what seems to have been deleted now, the hacker also responded to Heat’s aforementioned tweet from Lehmann’s account.

Before joining Brisbane Heat as their head coach, Lehmann had coached the Australian national team for half-a-decade. He ended his tenure after the infamous ball tampering scandal during the tour of South Africa in 2018.
Having made his international debut in 1998, the southpaw represented Australia in 144 matches across formats during his seven-year career.
