Manish Pandey grabs one-handed screamer: The Indian fielder once again proved as to why he is among the best on the field in contemporary cricket.

During the second ODI of the ongoing Australia’s tour of India in Rajkot, India fielder Manish Pandey put on display an incredible fielding effort to dismiss Australia opening batsman David Warner.

It all happened on the second delivery of the fourth over when Warner cut a short delivery from India fast bowler Mohammed Shami. Having hit the ball in front of the stumps, Warner timed it but ended up hitting over Pandey at cover.

Anticipating a catching opportunity up his sleeve, Pandey timed his dive to perfection to complete the dismissal. Coming on the back of his 18th ODI century, Warner ended up scoring 15 (12) with the help of two fours.

Considering the flat surface on which the match is being played, it was vital for India to draw first blood in the second innings to put the visitors under pressure in a 341-run chase.

Despite individual half-centuries from India opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan (96) and captain Virat Kohli (78), it was wicket-keeper batsman Lokesh Rahul’s 80 (52) with the help of six fours and three sixes which powered them to 340/6 in 50 overs.

With bowling figures of 10-0-50-3, Zampa was the pick of the Australian spinners. Pacer Kane Richardson (10-0-73-2) was the only other Australian bowler to dismiss a batsman today.
