Delhi Capitals Playing 11 today

Delhi Capitals Playing 11 today: The Sportsrush presents before you SRH’s Predicted Playing 11 for their eighth match of IPL 2019.

The Delhi Capitals have been on a roll and have won 3 consecutive matches. They would want to continue their winning form against SRH who have now lost 2 matches back to back. DC should use their confidence and their opposition’s lack of it to get another 2 crucial points on the board.

On the Hyderabad pitch, DC will need to bowl brilliantly to make a game out of it. It might once again be crucial to dismiss Warner and Bairstow upfront and expose the SRH middle order. They also need their top order to fire which they have been doing. If all goes well, DC could have 10 points in 8 matches by the end of the weekend.

Top-order

Shikhar Dhawan played a fabulous innings after a lucky getaway on a controversial decision against KKR. He went on to score an unbeaten 96 and helped DC cross the line comfortably. He had a good strike rate too and would love to replicate this performance. Prithvi Shaw is an amazing talent and time and again, he has shown how fantastic he can be up the order. He will look to get another big score under his belt.

DC skipper, Shreyas Iyer, has also had a good tournament so far scoring 221 runs in 7 matches. He has played some match-winning knocks in this IPL and would like to continue to make use of his rich vein of form.

Middle-order

Rishabh Pant has had a mixed season so far. After getting off to a thundering start in the first match, Pant waned off a bit till yesterday when he played a sensible role of a finisher and almost took DC home with Dhawan after stitching a great partnership. Colin Ingram, in his limited opportunities, has looked impressive and at No. 5, Ingram can be extremely effective as a finisher as well.

Rahul Tewatia, Axar Patel and Chris Morris have not gotten too many chances to make an impact but they are quality players and DC might need them to contribute if things go wrong up the order with the SRH bowling attack being one of the best.

Bowlers

DC has been fantastic with the ball in hand. Kagiso Rabada, the Purple Cap holder with 13 wickets, will once again lead the attack with his express pace and accuracy. Ishant Sharma is also expected to play an important role especially in the powerplay overs. Chris Morris will complete the deadly pace attack.

Sandeep Lamichhane will probably be back in place of Keemo Paul on the Hyderabad wicket which assists spinners. Lamichhane has looked good and would want to pick up a few wickets. Axar Patel would also look to be economical as usual and chip in with a wicket or 2. Tewatia can also be called upon to bowl some leg spin in case it is needed.
