Oshane Thomas injured in car accident: The West Indian fast bowler is recovering from injuries after a car crash in Jamaica.
West Indies and Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Oshane Thomas has been injured in a car crash in Jamaica. Thomas, who has turned 23 today, met with an accident along Highway 2000 in St Catherine, Jamaica, on February 16.
If reports are to be believed, Thomas’ car turned over after the collision. Having said that, the right-arm pacer is expected to be out of any danger and is recovering well from his injuries. It is reported that Thomas was “conscious and responsive” on the way to the hospital.

Oshane Thomas injured in car accident
“WIPA extends best wishes to West Indies and Jamaica fast-bowler Oshane Thomas who was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, February 16 in Jamaica,” the West Indies Players’ Association said in a statement.
“Thomas was reportedly involved in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 2000 near Old Harbour in St. Catherine and was taken to hospital. WIPA’s executive and staff would like to extend our sympathies to Oshane. We wish for him a speedy and full recovery,” read the full statement.
After alluring limelight in his debut series, a white-ball tour of India in 2018, Thomas was bought for INR 1.1 crore by the Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals before IPL 2019.

Having released him before the auction for IPL 2020, Rajasthan once again bought him for this season albeit at a lower price of INR 50 lakh. In the four match that Thomas played for RR in the last season, he picked five wickets at an average of 15.80, an economy rate of 7.90 and a strike rate of 12.
The last of Thomas’ 30 international appearances across limited-overs cricket came last month when he registered bowling figures of 9.1-0-41-3 in an ODI against Ireland in St George’s.
