Premier League clubs plan to restart the league season by June 13, due to COVID-19 spread, the league season has been suspended since March.
The Premier League’s fate is still unknown as the World is still facing the pandemic’s issues. But a report published by the Mirror, it has been revealed that the Premier League clubs are planning to resume the league by June 13.
It has been reported that the clubs have told their staff that there are plans to try and start fixtures again as league bosses seek clearance from the Government as part of Project Restart.
Earlier this month it was reported that the Premier League’s best case scenario is that training can start in May and then games can begin from June 8.
That date and timeline still remain in place but several clubs now believe fixtures could resume from the second weekend in June if all goes to plan and they get Government support.
The Premier League will discuss the testing procedures on Friday as the pressure grows on them to restart and get the games finished to satisfy the TV paymasters.
But Premier League chiefs do not believe any deadline or demand has been set by UEFA to get a plan in place by May 25. It is believed European football’s governing body would like an idea by their next meeting on May 27 but it has not been set in stone.
Meanwhile, Europe’s two big leagues, France’s Ligue 1 and Netherlands’ Eredivisie have decided to end the season, with Ligue 1 set to decide a champion on May, whereas KNVB has rejected the idea of relegation and winner’s concept for this season.

The Premier League do have a huge financial burden to complete if the league season is not completed, hence, therefore looking for alternates before they fully consider scrapping the season.
