Timo Werner Shirt Number: What shirt number German striker will get at Chelsea
Timo Werner Shirt Number: What shirt number the German striker will get at Chelsea as he is near to make a move to the Stamford Bridge.
Timo Werner is very close to joining Chelsea, as several reports suggest that there has been a verbal agreement between Chelsea and Rb Leipzig over the player and the Blues just need to submit the demanded fee.
Meanwhile, even Werner has reportedly agreed to join the Blues this summer. With a marquee signing getting into the team, the biggest question is which shirt number Werner will wear at Chelsea.
Throughout his professional career, Werner has only worn number 11, which was also his jersey number at RB Leipzig, whereas number 9 for Germany at times.
So, most probably even at Chelsea, the player will most probably wear number 11 jersey only as the current holder of that number is Pedro, who is set to leave Chelsea this summer.
Pedro’s current contract will be expired by the end of the month and reports claim that the chances are low that he will sign an extension with the club.
He has been rumoured to take a free transfer to Roma this summer. Therefore, his leaves air for Werner to take the jersey number which he has embraced for the most part of his career.
Apart from this number, Werner would have prioritized number 9 but it is already with Tammy Abraham, and it doesn’t seem Chelsea would have been interested in taking that route.

Now, with the move set to be done, the Blues would be waiting to just print out those shirts of the German striker in the market.
