Thierry Henry acknowledges solidarity support from Todd Cantwell for BLM movement

Thierry Henry acknowledged solidarity support from Todd Cantwell, who took a knee after scoring a goal against Manchester United.

The football world has lately been highly vocal about the black lives movement which erupted after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, United States.

Norwich City player scored from a thunderous strike late in the game to equalize the score in the final phase of the regular playing time. After scoring the goal, Cantwell went to the corner of the field and took a knee.

It was to pay solidarity support to the Black Lives Matter movement. To which, the former Premier League star Thierry Henry acknowledged the support given by Cantwell on social media.

The Premier League teams have shown huge support for BLM movement, as every team took the knee right before the kick-off on the first matchday of the league since return.

Meanwhile, the players with colour have emotionally instead in the movement to their capacity, Marcus Rashford was one of the players who were highly vocal after the incident happened.

Racism in football has been one of the biggest blots, FIFA and UEFA have frequently taken initiatives to curb the social issue, but many instances disgraced the game.

The sporting fraternity has been massively vocal about the movement, F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton actively talked about the racism across the world and shed light on how racism was also involved in f1 too.

Further, the player decided that he will take a knee during the first F1 Grand Prix in Austria. Fortunately, his decision received backing from the Formula 1 authorities.
