Kimi Raikkonen retirement: F1 legend confirms if he will retire after 2020 F1 season
Kimi Raikkonen retirement plans have been revealed as the F1 legend has confirmed that he may not actually retire after 2020 F1 season.
Kimi Raikkonen, the longest serving F1 driver on the grid currently, may continue even further. He asserts the future will decide if he continues to race in F1 or not. The Finn had earlier announced his retirement at the end of this season.
Raikkonen currently has 312 F1 races to his name, 10 fewer than record appearance holder Rubens Barrichello. Considering 8 races have already been confirmed, and more to be added this season, that record is set to break.

Kimi still enjoys racing in F1, at the age of 40
A new set of aerodynamic rule changes from 2022 would changes things drastically, but Kimi is unconcerned.
Speaking in the Drivers’ press conference ahead of the season-opening race in Austria, he said he is unaffected by it.
“No it hasn’t. Obviously, that’s how it’s going to be with the rules and everything, but it doesn’t really dictate what happens in the future.
“I don’t know. I mean, we haven’t done a single race. Obviously, it’s a very odd situation this year so, let’s wait and see what happens.”
“I wouldn’t say that they’re a lot different than what we had some years ago. Yes, they are regulation changes, but the driving part doesn’t change that much really.”
Asked if he still enjoys racing in F1, the Ice Man replied: “If we do well, obviously it’s more fun than if we don’t do well, but we have no idea where we’re going to be, so we do our best and go home this week and work from there.
Finally, when asked if he will continue, he said in trademark style: “The future will decide itself.”
Kimi Raikkonen will race for the Alfa Romeo outfit, starting with the Austria Grand Prix this weekend.
