The franchise’s search for the head coach was hard as they tried to interview all possible candidates that can fit into the side.
New York Knicks interviewed five formal head coaches. Former Brooklyn Nets coach Kenny Atkinson, Mike Woodson, Los Angeles Lakers assistant Jason Kidd, Mike Brown, and Miller.
They also interviewed five assistant coaches with no ‘head coach’ experience under their belt.
Tom Thibodeau- Which teams has he coached before?
The 62-year old has served as head coach for Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves. The tenure at Bulls was successful among the two. He has a Career record for Tom is (352-246).
He managed Bulls from 2010-2015 in which the team reached the playoff stage in every season and was able to make it to one Eastern Conference final (2010).
His time in Minnesota was not as pleasant as the Bulls. Tom was fired as head coach in his third season with the franchise. He has also been with the Knicks as an assistant from 1996-2004. Tom should adapt to the New York Knicks office as he has worked there in the past.
New York Knicks 2019-20 season is officially over as they are not among the 22 teams invited to the bubble. They finished the season at the 12th spot in the Eastern Conference with a dissatisfactory record (21-45).
