UFC Vegas 5 Results: Brunson Defeats Shahbazyan, Maia Upsets Calderwood

UFC Vegas 5 is first of the two fight night events of August. With this event UFC marks its comeback to the APEX Center, Nevada, United States.

The main event of UFC Vegas 5 was previously set-up between Holly Holm and Irene Aldana, but just 10 days before the event, Irene Aldana was tested Corona positive, following which Derek Brunson Vs. Edmen Shahbazyan, which was originally the co-main event got the promotion to become the event headliner.

There were a total of 10 matches on the fight card, but just hours before the start of the fight night, another fighter in the form of Gerald Meerschaert was found COVID-19 positive, and his preliminary fight against Ed Herman was scrapped from the card.
