Pierre Gasly helmets, BRM watches robbed from his Normandy home

Pierre Gasly house was broke in by robbers when he was in Barcelona, the Formula 1 driver confirms the news on his social media handles.

Alpha Tauri racer Pierre Gasly, who will board for Belgium from Spain for the Belgian Gp has confirmed the news of some intruders breaking in his house in France.

Gasly gave the news to the rest of the world through his Instagram handle and Twitter, where he briefly described the incident in his native language. 

He claimed that he had lost expensive engraved watches, racing helmets, clothes and jewellery in the robbery on his house in Normandy. This incident happened while Gasly was in Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix.

“Some people are really worthless, disrespectful and contemptible,” said the Rouen-born driver, who finished ninth in the race at the Circuit de Catalunya on Sunday.

Gasly ended his post asking for anyone with information to get in touch with him via Instagram. As for now, there are no new further updates regarding the incident.

Sports personalities have been subject to robberies in past, with most of the time they are on the move, keeping their houses vulnerable of such criminal offences.

Pierre Gasly and his current season

Gasly has been decent so far with Alpha Tauri car, as he lies at the 15th position in the table. However, in between, he has managed to upset his successor Alex Albon in Red Bull.

During the Spanish Grand Prix, he had the chance of making it into the top-5 of the race, as he ended up on P5 in Q2, few positions above Albon and 2 positions down Max Verstappen, but by the end of the qualifying he trickled down to P10.

And he could only manage to come 9th in the race, but at least manage to register few points for his side.
