F2 Crash Sochi: Race abandoned in Russia after Luca Ghiotto and Jack Aitken crash into the barrier during the race.
The world of racing saw another deadly incident but fortunately, the drivers involved in the crash were safe. During the F2 race in Russia on Sunday, Luca Ghiotto and Jack Aitken collided with each other before crashing into the barrier.
The race then was abandoned with massive debris lying on the side of the track as the scale of repairs needed to the safety barriers meant that the decision was taken not to restart the race.
The incident happened while both the drivers were competing for the fourth position on the grid, but caught one another before hitting into the wall.

Mick Schumacher shines again
The German driver who is contending to win the F2 championship impresses once again with his spectacular performance.
The Feature Race winner launched off the line from eighth and claimed four positions in the first turn alone, daringly diving down the inside line.
The German capped off his race with a cool move on Aitken for the final podium position, ahead of the red flag. Schumacher now has the chance to catch his breath after an incredible 10 rounds of racing in just 13 weeks.
Also increasing his chances to make a switch to Formula 1 as his exceptional performances backing his resume for next season.
Meanwhile, Renault junior Guanyu Zhou registered his first-ever Formula 2 win. Though, only half of the points awarded to the grid with race cut short Guanyu Zhou was rather left frustrated.
