The Vikings traded Yannick Ngakoue to the Ravens in exchange for a 2021 3rd round pick, and a 2022 5th round pick. The Ravens are looking to maximize their defensive line.
Yannick Ngakoue will now play with already amazing, Matt Judon and Calais Campbell. The Ravens are making their final few pushes to try and win the Superbowl.
How good is Yannick Ngakoue?
Ngakoue currently has 5 sacks, being one of the highest in the league. Ngakoue, was earlier traded to the Vikings in exchange for draft picks. He is arguably one of the better young edge rushers, and has a lot of talent.
The young defensive end has been asking for more than $20 million per year, but he’ll have to prove how good he is if he wants to get paid.
Why did the Ravens trade for another edge rusher?
As mentioned above, the Ravens already have a pretty good defensive line, one of the best in the league. The Ravens are currently 3rd in the NFL with 22 sacks. So why trade for Ngakoue? Both Judon and Ngakoue are playing on a franchise tag which means they will not be resigned by the Ravens.
This simply means the Ravens are going all out to win the superbowl. With Yannick and Matt Judon, Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey, the defense is now looking as one of the best in the league.
