Nemanja Matic takes a dig at Chelsea after his Manchester United debut
Manchester United new boy, Nemanja Matic has taken a swipe at his old team mates after starting his first match for his new club.
Matic, who was part of two Premier league winning seasons with Chelsea, has said that his new set of team mates at Manchester United are the best group of players that he has ever played with.
When asked about his thoughts on the current Manchester United squad, this is what Matic had to say.
“They are amazing.
“I played in a few clubs in my career, but these guys are amazing.”
“It was strange because the team has played and had a good pre-season.”
“And as you know I trained alone in London, and it was strange for me, but I tried to give my best to control the game, give the balance and I think for the first game it was good for me.”
“And step by step I think I will be better and better and I hope that I will help the team to achieve something this season.”

“It was nice, it was nice to play in front of our supporters what was a full stadium of Manchester supporters and that was special to me and I am happy to make my debut for such a big club like Manchester United.”
Make no mistake about it, his old Chelsea team mates would have taken note of Matic’s comments. The rivalry between Chelsea and Manchester United went up a notch ever since Conte beat Jose’s United team 4-0 at Stamford Bridge last year.
United won the reverse fixture at Old Trafford while Chelsea beat them again in the FA Cup. With both sides going for the title, we can expect some fireworks from the Utd-Chelsea clashes this year.
