‘You’re not Kyle Kuzma!’: When Lakers star was humiliated by a kid at his own basketball camp
One would think that somebody attending the Kyle Kuzma basketball camp would remember what he looked like, but that wasn’t the case.
A kid who looked barely old enough to be in elementary school came to Kyle Kuzma’s basketball camp in 2019. However, he had no idea what Kyle looks like in real life.

The kid refused to believe the 6’9″, blonde-haired guy he was talking to could actually be Kyle Kuzma himself. The situation devolved into a humorous one when the kid pointed to another guy in Kuzma’s presence and called him the real Kyle.
Kyle Kuzma’s basketball mentorship program in Flint, Michigan
Through his first two offseasons as an NBA player, Kuzma committed to giving back his basketball knowledge to the local community. Both summers, he organized basketball camps for kids from his region.
Kuzma himself was from the unremarkable town of Flint, Michigan. He recognizes that kids from his area don’t often get to meet NBA-level athletes. That’s mainly why he works to bring them together through this camp.
Will the Lakers sign Kyle Kuzma to a long-term deal?
The Lakers were rumored to have stalled their talks with their forward given his wage demands. Kuzma clearly wants a bigger slice of the pie than his role with his team demands.
But the deal is closer to completion than people think. Kuzma has stated in the past that he would prefer to remain with the Lakers in a reduced role than go to a team like the Orlando Magic.
