‘James Harden to team up with Stephen Curry?’: Warriors enquire about availability of Rockets superstar
Reports claim that the Golden State Warriors reached out to the Houston Rockets to work out a trade deal for James Harden.
Perhaps the biggest name that has been thrown around in various trade rumors this offseason has been James Harden. He has been linked to a multitude of teams including the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets.
The Warriors have had a rollercoaster of an offseason to say the least. They snagged James Wiseman with the number 2 pick in the draft and proceed to sign swingmen Kelly Oubre Jr. and Kent Bazemore.
All these signings are positives but they unfortunately have the dark cloud of Klay Thompson’s torn Achilles looming over them simultaneously.
The Golden State Warriors inquired about trading for James Harden.
With Klay Thompson out of the picture for this upcoming 2020-21 NBA season, the Warriors remain adamant on staying competitive. They are still vying for a top seed in the West and are not in the hunt for a lottery pick.
In an effort to do, it is being reported that the Warriors front office made a call to the Houston Rockets to inquire about the ‘availability’ of James Harden.

No trade details were apparently ever hashed out between the two teams. It was merely a call to check whether or not the Rockets are open to shopping Harden in the near future.
Would a Steph Curry-James Harden backcourt win a title?
Steph Curry is known to not be opposed to taking a backseat to another ball dominant superstar. It was Curry’s selflessness and lack of an ego that allowed Kevin Durant to shine in Golden State.
James Harden is an offensive system in and of himself. The schemes drawn up for the offensive end of the floor would have the 2018 MVP be its focal point.
The West is perhaps more competitive than it has ever been going into next season. As crazy as it sounds, a Curry-Harden tandem wouldn’t in fact seal a championship for Dub Nation.
