“I won the 2 hardest championships in NBA history”: Lakers’ LeBron James sings his own praises for titles in 2016 and 2020
LeBron James says that the 2016 and 2020 titles were two of the hardest championships to be won in league history.
LeBron James will be entering his 18th season as the 2020-21 NBA title favorite alongside Anthony Davis with the Lakers.
James has already cemented himself as one of the, if not the, greatest player of all time. He has clinched 4 titles – he was the Finals MVP for all 4 of those.
His 2012 NBA championship came after a gentleman’s sweep over the young Oklahoma City Thunder. His second was in a grueling 7-game series against the San Antonio Spurs in 2013.
The next two titles, are probably the most historic championships ever won in NBA history, to date.
LeBron James has a bold statement regarding his previous 2 championships.
LeBron James recently went on the Road Trippin Pod with former Cavaliers teammate Richard Jefferson. While discussing many aspects about his career, the 2020 Bubble championship eventually came up.
In regards to this, James said:
“The one thing that I know for sure, is that I’ve been a part of 2 teams that’s won the two hardest championships in NBA history. 2016 Cavs coming back from down 3-1 against the Golden State Warriors and then what we went through in the Bubble.”

Are these 2 championships truly the hardest championships that have ever been won?
Coming back from down 3-1 against a 73-9 Warriors team isn’t easy. It is most definitely one of the most memorable championship wins in league history.
The 2020 NBA ‘Bubble’ championship has had many mixed perceptions on it. Some say it was easier as there no distractions. Others believe it was the toughest one to date due to no home court advantage and being isolated from the outside world.
