‘Happy to see Kevin Durant back where he belongs’: Lakers’ LeBron James celebrates Nets star’s return to the NBA
Lakers’ superstar LeBron James shared an Instagram story to celebrate the return of Kevin Durant.
The Brooklyn Nets took the court for their first preseason game tonight. They won a close 119-114 contest with the Washington Wizards. The match marked the return of Kevin Durant back from injury.
KD had been out since Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals due to an Achilles tear. Even though he was healthy in time for the Bubble, he thought it best to wait it out and not subject himself to that level of intensity right away.
Kevin Durant is back, and he marked the same in a bold fashion. For his first basket back, he drove to the ring and finished with a dunk.

LeBron James is happy about Kevin Durant’s return
Ever since KD was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics, he had been a big part of the league. The 10x NBA All-Star made his return to the court after a huge 552 days of basketball without Kevin Durant. The entire NBA community was glad to see him back, and King James was no exception.
LeBron is one of the fiercest competitors on the court, but off the court, he is one of the nicest people. LeBron James shared the video of KD dunking and expressed his happiness on the Slim Reaper’s return on Instagram.

In his return to the NBA, KD scored 15 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and dished 3 assists. It was a good showing by Durant in his comeback match.
There is a lot expected from the former 2x Finals MVP and if he returns to his pre-injury level of basketball, he can surely accomplish all of that. With Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both back and healthy, the Brooklyn Nets can surely go very far in the Eastern Conference.
