Rashid Khan nails stunning helicopter shot: The Afghani spinner continued to improve his batting skills in the shortest format.

During the 17th match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League between Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers in Adelaide, Adelaide Strikers spinner Rashid Khan registered a hard-hitting cameo to power his team to 165-8 in 20 overs after opposition captain Ashton Turner put them in to bat.

Coming in to bat at No. 7 in the 16th over, Rashid ended up scoring 29 (13) with the help of one four and three sixes to justify his batting position.

On only the third delivery that Rashid faced, he hit an astonishing six off Perth spinner Fawad Ahmed to make his intentions clear. Facing the first delivery of the power surge in the 18th over, Rashid played a helicopter shot to earn a boundary on the off-side.

On the fourth delivery of the penultimate over knowing that the mid-off and mid-on were inside the circle, Rashid play another stunning helicopter shot dissecting the two fielders. Having hit a similar six in the same over, Rashid left the opposition with minimal options in the death overs.

In what was his fifth BBL half-century, Strikers opening batsman Phil Salt top-scored for his team with a well-made 51 (31) inclusive of four fours and four sixes. With bowling figures of 4-0-30-3, Scorchers pacer Jhye Richardson was the pick of their bowlers.
