“Better than I was at Red Bull”- Sebastian Vettel expects no guarantee of bright results but expects more hard work and progress.
Sebastian Vettel is set to compete in Formula 1 with a brand new outfit Aston Martin, a re-branded version of Racing Point. Though the German doesn’t expect bright results with the team, he is looking forward to a lot of hard work.
“I don’t expect any guarantees of success in the future, but I do expect a lot of hard work”, said Vettel to F1 insider. “We need to use the atmosphere of optimism in the team as we try, step by step, to get closer to success. Realistically Mercedes will remain the big favourite in 2021”.
Aston Martin is predicted to be a dark horse in 2021, as their rivals feel that a speculated involvement by Mercedes AMG engineers will bolster the prospects of the new team.
Every achievement will be a milestone.
Vettel citing his past work experiences said that in Aston Martin there would be fewer expectations from his, as in Ferrari and Red Bull people want him to be at the podium every time. Still, in Aston Martin, every achievement will be a milestone.
“Mainly because I’m different now. Better, with more experience, with a clearer picture than when I was at Red Bull, for example”. said Vettel.
“We now have the opportunity to write another chapter in Aston Martin’s motorsport history. It’s exciting for all fans of the brand, as it is for Formula 1 and the sport itself.”
For Vettel, Ferrari stint was underwhelming, as he was brought in to break Mercedes’ dominance, but failed to do so even with right resources at his disposal in odd years between.
Though he grabbed a few wins with Ferrari, a championship title was always the main aim for the Tifosi.
