Is LeBron James playing tonight vs Memphis Grizzlies? Lakers release ankle injury report for their MVP ahead of game in Memphis
LeBron James is listed as questionable with an ankle sprain ahead of tonight’s Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies game.
Ever since their loss to Damian Lillard’s Blazers a week ago, LeBron James and the Lakers have been on a roll. They are currently on a 3-game winning streak after defeating the Spurs twice and the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.
Though the Lakers revamped their roster by adding new pieces over the offseason, they seem to mesh surprisingly well. Chemistry doesn’t seem to be an issue considering the fact that players such as Danny Green and Dwight Howard aren’t in Los Angeles anymore.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been spearheading the Lakeshow for the second straight year. This has led to the Lakers cantering to a 5-2 record.
The Lakers have a chance to go 6-2 and claim the top seed in the West. This would be more probable if LeBron James suits up tonight.
Will LeBron James be playing against the Grizzlies tonight?
The reigning Finals MVP has been dealing with a sprained left ankle that dates back to opening night against the Clippers. He has been on the injury list ever since and has yet to miss a game.
He is listed as questionable going into tonight’s game. This means there is relatively a 50-50 chance that The King might hit the NBA hardwood.
Lakers status report list KCP (left ankle sprain) and LeBron James (left ankle sprain) as questionable for Memphis game Tuesday. Report list Alex Caruso as out in NBA’s health and safety protocols.

It is uncertain as to why LeBron James continues to play on a sprained ankle. The severity of the injury isn’t exactly known but it is nothing major.
Perhaps coach Frank Vogel wants the newer Lakers to get acclimated with playing alongside LeBron early on in the season to improve team chemistry. Another reason could be James just wants to play and feels fine.
The Lakers shouldn’t have a tough time with the Memphis Grizzlies regardless of LeBron’s playing status. The latter will be without star point guard Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.
