‘Lakers won a mickey mouse championship in Disney world’: Celtics savagely mock LeBron James and co. with graphic insulting their ‘Bubble ring’
The Boston Celtics broadcast posted up a hilarious comparison between themselves and their rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers.
American sports boast some of the greatest rivalries between any two teams or individuals. Everything from the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox to Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier, these rivalries run deep.
However, perhaps the most enticing of them all would have to be the constant back-and-forth between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers. Two storied franchises with a rotating roster of superstars that come and go, bringing championships and glory to their respective cities, over and over again.
They have met a record 12 times in the NBA Finals with Boston leading the all-time Finals series 9-3. Only the Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant led Lakers were able to best the Celtics as Bill Russell’s Celtics had hold over the NBA throughout the ‘60s.
In anticipation of the Lakers vs. Celtics game that took place two nights back, the Boston broadcast posted a hilarious graphic comparing the two franchises’ accomplishments.
Boston Celtics’ graphic comparing the two franchises goes viral.
The Celtics took major digs at the Lakeshow with the graphic they posted ahead of the Lakers vs. Celtics bout. In the graphic, the Celts broadcast team discredited the Lakers’ championships when they were based out of Minneapolis and also their most recent one in the Bubble that was held in Disney World.

The internet exploded upon viewing this graphic with parties from both sides defending their respective teams. A great point however is that the LA Lakers count the Minneapolis rings as their own but refuse to retire George Mikan’s jersey. Mikan was the engine that steered the Minneapolis Lakers to those 5 championships.

Many claim that Bill Russell’s 11 rings were won in an era that boasted “plumbers” and there was no real competition.
The Lakers did end up having the last laugh as they bested the Celts two ago 96-95 in a close one which ended with Kemba Walker missing a potential game winning jumper.
