Barcelona’s transfer activity was scrutinised to the core this summer, as all through the summer they were unable to find Neymar’s replacement. They had initially set out to get Veratti to Nou Camp but ended up losing Neymar to PSG.

After Neymar’s departure, Paulinho was the first signing that arrived at the Nou Camp, something that angered Barcelona fans to a great extent.

Paulinho, the Spurs reject was considered as a huge step down by many, and football fans all over the world started taking the mickey out of Barcelona.

They seemed to be clueless in the transfer market and Paulinho’s 40 million transfer signified that in a great way.

Coutinho couldn’t force his way out of Anfield and Barcelona had to settle for Dembele instead.

But a perfect start to the season has silenced all Barcelona critics. Dembele is trying his best to fit into the system, even bagging an assist in his last game. And today it was Paulinho’s turn.

Paulinho, on his Barcelona debut scored a brilliant winner, shrugging off two defenders and producing a brilliant finish to maintain Barcelona’s perfect record this season.
