“I know what it feels like to be hungry”- Lewis Hamilton lauds Marcus Rashford’s humanitarian efforts
“I know what it feels like to be hungry”- Lewis Hamilton lauds Marcus Rashford’s attempts for hunger aid to children from underprivileged homes.
Lewis Hamilton recognizes Marcus Rashford’s attempts to reduce child poverty in his country, which was further triggered after the UK imposed the first lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
His constant support to supply food to children with insufficient privileges to support three meals a day compelled the government to implement his demands.
While praising the football talent, Hamilton said, “I know what it feels like to be hungry. By standing up for the most vulnerable in our society and using his platform and influence to create positive change, Marcus inspired countless others to join him on this mission. He cemented his status as a role model.”
“In a year that showed us the power of working together toward a common goal, he was a galvanizing force behind uniting people across the U.K. in the effort to ensure that no child goes hungry.
“His determination, resilience, and persistence have been truly inspiring. I cannot wait to see how he continues this important work.”

Both were rewarded for their efforts.
While Rashford talked about curbing hunger, Lewis Hamilton became the flag-bearer of anti-racism movement black lives matter. His constant voice in the realms of F1 made him a black icon.
From taking a stand for George Floyd to Breonaa Taylor, Hamilton demanded racial equality and urged his counterparts to take a stand amidst the dreadful times.
On the other hand, even Rashford lent his support to black lives matter movement. In the end, for their efforts, both personalities received titles from the crown for their humanitarian work and excellence in their profession.
While Hamilton was granted the knighthood, Rashford was made an MBE for his successful campaign against hunger.
