“LeBron James now trails Trae Young by 1 turnover, MVP?”: Skip Bayless questions the wisdom of nba.com placing the Lakers star at the top of their MVP leaderboard

LeBron James had an underwhelming outing against the Heat last night, giving Skip Bayless a heaven-sent opportunity to troll him.

James shot just 7-of-21 from the field and looked passive all night long against Jimmy Butler and co. The 36-year-old made only 1 of his 8 3-point attempts. This means he made 6 of his 13 2-point attempts, which never happens even for him.

Though he added 9 rebounds and 9 assists to his 19 points, he also had 5 turnovers. There were few occasions on the night when he really looked like his old self. One of those was his drive-and-dunk in the 4th, when it seemed like he’d turn the corner in clutch.

But this change of pace never came about, and the Lakers failed to convert their home game into a win. This result drops the Lakeshow to 22-9, tied with the Clippers for 2nd place in the West.

Skip Bayless piles it on LeBron James after a poor performance against Miami

Skip Bayless went on a typical Twitter rant. Bayless has held throughout the season that Joel Embiid should be the MVP frontrunner. The NBA has released 3 editions of its MVP leaderboard so far, all with James at the top.

This has incensed the biggest LeBron hater on the planet to no end. Bayless ended last night with a string of tweets that can only be described as a piecewise rant.

We get it, Skip. You’re coping with the severe disappointment of seeing LeBron get all the plaudits and none of the blame. It was arguably LeBron’s fault that he effected the steal that put the Lakers in position to tie or win.
