During the ninth match of the ongoing Road Safety World Series between India Legends and England Legends in Raipur, India Legends all-rounder Irfan Pathan welcomed England Legends pacer Chris Tremlett by sharing a light moment in the middle.
It all happened in the penultimate over of the English innings when Tremlett came in to bat at No. to replace James Tredwell (9). Tremlett, who is famous among fans for his well-built physique especially after his retirement from the game, witnessed Pathan coming in from the point region to compare biceps in a humorous manner.
Putting his power to work at the Shaheed Veer Singh Narayan International Stadium, Tremlett his as many as three boundaries during his brief stay in the middle.
After India Legends captain Sachin Tendulkar won the toss and chose to field, England Legends posted a formidable 188/7 in 20 overs. In what is the highest-ever score in the tournament, it wouldn’t have been possible without England Legends captain Kevin Pietersen.
Opening the batting with Phil Mustard (14), Pietersen took his fans back in time as he scored a hard-hitting 75 (37) with the help of six fours and five sixes.
With bowling figures of 3-0-28-3, India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan was the pick of their bowlers. In addition to Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan and Munaf Patel also picked a couple of wickets tonight.
