Steve Smith ruled out of the T20 series against India
In frustrating news for the Aussies following their recent 1-4 drubbing at the hands of India, Steve Smith’s shoulder injury has added salt to the injury.
Australia skipper is now ruled out of India T20I series which gives a chance for David Warner to skipper the side for the three fixtures.
Steve Smith picked up an infamous injury as he inadvertently landed on his shoulders while fielding during the Nagpur dead rubber contest.

He was taken to the local private hospital on Thursday and he underwent an MRI scan on his right shoulder on Thursday before omitting the practice session on Friday.
However, the doctor suggested Steve Smith not to take any calculated risk in order to prevent the bad going to worse.
Smith will return to his hometown to undergo traditional forms of rehabilitation and also to prepare for the iconic Ashes starting on November 23, Brisbane.
“He has had an MRI scan which has excluded serious injury, but we believe the best course of action is for him to not continue to aggravate his shoulder and allow it to recover,” said Bupa Support Team Doctor Richard Saw to cricket.com.au.
The fitness remains to be the key here and Steve Smith is expected to be fit as fiddle for the opener of the upcoming Sheffield Shied season.
“He will have further investigation upon his return to Australia but we remain confident he will be available for the start of the Sheffield Shield season.”
The space left by Steven Smith will be well covered by Marcus Stoinis who comes in as Smith’s replacement for the three-match T20I series.
Australia T20I squad for India series:
