Kohli last century: When was the last time Virat Kohli had scored an international century?
Virat Kohli last century: The Indian captain scored a second consecutive impact-generating half-century at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
During the third T20I of the ongoing England’s tour of India in Ahmedabad, India captain Virat Kohli led from the front to rescue his team from a difficult position.
Kohli, who came out to bat at No. 4 after more than a year, found himself in the middle in the powerplay. In addition to a dearth of runs, India were also struggling due to losing wickets at regular intervals back then which included Kohli and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant (25) getting involved in a massive miscommunication.
Having scored 14* (14) at the halfway mark with India reeling at 55/3, the hosts needed Kohli to bat till the end – something which he did successfully at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
It was in the last five overs that Kohli scored 49* (17) to power India to 156/6 in 20 overs. Having started the assault by hitting a four and a six off England spearhead Jofra Archer in the 16th over, Kohli replicated the same against Chris Jordan in the following over.
England’s Mark Wood, who had troubled the Indian batsmen with his pace in the powerplay, had no clue against Kohli’s brilliance as the right-hand batsman played second to none shots to hit two sixes and a four in the 18th over.
Top-scoring for his team in the second consecutive match, Kohli scored a valiant 77* (46) which comprised of eight fours and four sixes. In what is Kohli’s 27th T20I half-century, it is also his second in as many matches.
This has been a masterclass from Virat Kohli. If you’re a young batsman anywhere in the world, watch this innings again but with a notebook and a pen. #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/VjKQcdWzmj

Virat Kohli last century (updated on February 10, 2023)
Although Kohli hadn’t scored a T20I century at the time of the above mentioned match, he scored a maiden century in the shortest format against Afghanistan during Asia Cup 2022.
It is worth mentioning that Kohli’s last Test century had come against Bangladesh in India’s inaugural pink-ball Test match at the Eden Gardens.
As far as Kohli’s last ODI century is concerned, it had come against Sri Lanka at the Greenfield International Stadium last month.
