“LeBron James is Ironman”: Skip Bayless serves a backhanded compliment to the Lakers star after he injured his right ankle against the Hawks
Skip Bayless dished out a backhanded compliment to LeBron James, as James injured his right ankle in the game against the Hawks.
The Los Angles Lakers fell short (99-94) against the Atlanta Hawks tonight. The already injury-riddled defending champions received a major blow as LeBron James had to leave the game after suffering an ankle injury.
James had a quick 10 points in 11 minutes before he exited the game. Two hours after the game, the Lakers announced that the King is out indefinitely.

This comes as a huge blow to the Lakers, who have been missing their All-NBA big Anthony Davis for 14 games now. Davis is not expected to return before April, and LBJ getting hurt just makes things tougher for the defending champions.
A lot of the burden falls on Dennis Schroder, Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Kuzma, and Markieff Morris. KCP, Alex Caruso, Wesley Matthews and Talen Horton-Tucker will all see more minutes than they did before.
Skip Bayless calls LeBron James ‘Iron Man’
Skip Bayless isn’t the biggest LeBron fan around. He has always been critical of what LeBron does or does not do. After LeBron James got injured and exit the game, Skip took it to his Twitter to hope for a quick recovery for the King.
“Lakers say LeBron is OUT for the rest of this game vs Atl. Now we see how quickly he can bounce back. He is Ironman, the most durable star athlete I’ve ever seen.”
He called LeBron the most durable star athlete he has ever seen. This is a very rare from Skip, and many consider this to be a backhanded compliment:

Knowing Skip, he might as well be done as mentioned, and waiting to pounce on LBJ for taking an ‘extended leave of absence’. Whatever the case may be, times are going to be turbulent for the Lakers.
