Alaba Contract: Real Madrid Agree Verbal Contract With David Alaba Ahead Of Summer Move

The two parties are said to have reached a middle ground when it comes to weekly wages

Ever since David Alaba confirmed that he would not be penning a new deal at Bayern Munich, rumours have been rife about his next club. The versatile player and his ability to play across the park have seen him emerge as a potential transfer target for manifold clubs.

The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona were all said to be in the market for the player. However, Real Madrid were said to be spearheading the race for the player with Alaba said to be extremely eager to switch to the La Liga side.

However, despite both the parties thrashing out nuances of the deal, the two failed to break the ice. Alaba’s issues were said to be acting as a bottleneck with the defender demanding figures which Real Madrid were refusing to indulge in.

However, it looks like the two have finally reached an agreement.

Real Madrid Agree Terms With Alaba

ABC Deportes has gone onto claim that David Alaba has already reached a verbal agreement with Real Madrid. While intricacies of his new deal will only be revealed in the time to come, the player is said to recover 17 million pounds upon joining Real Madrid while pocketing 165,000 pounds per week in wages.

The transfer will come as a massive boost to Real Madrid with the club looking to buoy its defensive ranks. With club captain Sergio Ramos said to be holding out for a rise in his wages before he puts ink to paper to a new contract, Alaba’s arrival will lessen the burden of getting Ramos to sign an extension.

Real Madrid are currently on a break as the international matches take over. The club will next be taking on Liverpool in the Champions League.

Alaba Parts Ways With Bayern Munich

Alaba had previously revealed that he had decided to leave his current side.

“I decided to try new things next season and say good-bye to Bayern Munich. It was a difficult decision. I am not going to say anything about my next club, my agents are talking to them and everything will be decided in the future,” said Alaba.
