‘Andre Drummond will be the difference in Lakers winning or losing title’: Shannon Sharpe highlights how LeBron James can win 5th NBA Title
Shannon Sharpe heaps praise onto Los Angeles Lakers star Andre Drummond saying he could be the final piece the franchise needed
The LA Lakers have hardly been the luckiest team in the NBA this season. After a hot start, Anthony Davis and LeBron James both found themselves out with serious injuries. This affected the franchise massively at first. But, with the team winning 6 of its last 10 games, it seems that they have started to acclimatize. And a large reason for this has been the Lakers’ new acquisition in Andre Drummond.
After the player succumbed to injury in his first game for the franchise, many expected him to be sidelined for a long time as well. However, the star has since come back and is leading the team to a respectable win ratio, even without their big two.
Due to these performances, Shannon Sharpe made some interesting comments on what he could do for the LA Lakers. Let’s get into it.

“He’s the difference in the Lakers winning or losing the title”: Shannon Sharpe emphasized on Andre Drummond’s importance to the LA Lakers
Shannon Sharpe is a co-host on the show ‘Undisputed’, where he discusses sports with fellow infamous analyst Skip Bayless.
On the most recent episode of Undisputed, Sharpe was asked who he believed to be the better signing. And he had to pick between Rajon Rondo for the Clippers, or Andre Drummond for the Lakers.
Speaking passionately on the topic, this is what he had to say.
Who was the better acquisition: Drummond or Rondo?
“Both guys are what the doctor ordered. But I’ll say Drummond, because he gives the Lakers size & strength and he can own the boards. He’s the difference in the Lakers winning or losing the title.” — @ShannonSharpe pic.twitter.com/sAXH6jNa4q

Whether or not this can really be called a hot take is anybody’s guess. But this statement is almost guaranteed to cause a ruckus in the NBA community.
But, no matter which side of the fence you fall on, nothing is decided just yet. Only time will tell which player is able to contribute to their team more in the 2021 NBA playoffs.
