“Stephen Curry gets a technical foul”: Warriors star uncharacteristically gets angry at officiating crew and gets himself T’ed up in blowout win over Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry shows his rage and gets T’ed up after blatant no calls against the Nuggets by the officials.
Stephen Curry is undoubtedly the best shooter of all time, and one of the greatest players to ever lace up. But, despite his greatness, Chef Curry is also known for humility. You rarely ever see the star showing an extreme amount of emotion out on the court.
However, there are times when the player’s frustration finally boils over, and rightly so. For a player who is fouled so much while shooting from beyond the arc, he rarely ever gets it acknowledged by the officials. This has led some defenders to believe they can get away with anything, and have even routinely taken away Curry’s landing space.
This happened more than a few times in the Warriors’ recent game against the Nuggets. And in the final minute of the third quarter, Stephen Curry had finally had enough.
The Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets kept the game close for most of the match. The former maintained a lead of 5 points for the most part and continued to do so in the third.

After a somewhat cold first half, Stephen Curry had heated up a bit in the third quarter and had 19 points at the time. The player, as always, had kept quiet until then about his no calls, no matter how blatant they were.
In the final minute of the third though, the 33-year-old had had enough. After the team got a stop on defense, Curry came away with the ball. He pulled up for a deep three, and Austin Rivers came in to contest the shot.
The Baby-faced assassin did miss but was clearly fouled. Not only was his hand hit, but Rivers also clearly didn’t let him land properly. And yet, there was no call.
Steph was infuriated at this point. After the ball was out of play, he angrily walked and shouted towards the officials, asking them where the foul was. And due to the way the NBA is today, the player got a technical.

Yes, hostile behavior usually deserves a technical. However, when the officials fail to see how easily their no-calls can cause serious injuries, the player in danger needs to have a right to question the officials.
Stephen Curry did eventually get a call while shooting. And while it was ruled as a two-point shot due to his foot on the line, when the call was given, the Warriors star was seriously hyped.
Many in the NBA community have said that he only got that call because of his complaints earlier. And we have to say, even if it means getting a technical, we hope he can keep complaining until these no-calls come down significantly.
