Delhi Capitals donation: DC donate INR 1.5 crore to Hemkunt and Uday Foundation amid India’s COVID-19 crisis
Delhi Capitals donation: Delhi Capitals have become the second Indian Premier League franchise to donate for COVID relief work.
Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals have become the second franchise to announce a donation towards India’s fight against the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Capitals’ announcement came hours after Rajasthan Royals made a similar announcement across their social media accounts.
Capitals, who had finished as the runners-up in IPL 2020 held in the UAE, have come forward to contribute a handsome amount of INR 1.5 crore.
In addition to a record-breaking number of cases which India is experiencing on a daily basis at the moment, the shortage of hospital beds and oxygen cylinders have been further adding to their woes.
It is worth mentioning that, among cricketers, donations towards India’s COVID relief work had been initially commenced by the Australian pair of Pat Cummins and Brett Lee.
