Neymar 2025 Contract: The Brazilian has finally put pen to paper to a new deal at the Ligue 1 club
For almost the last one year, Neymar and PSG have been exchanging salvos. The two parties have been engulfed in hectic negotiations in a bid to tie down Neymar’s subsequent future at the Ligue 1 side.
PSG Announce New Neymar Deal
PSG have finally succeed in months of negotiations with the French club announcing that it had tied down Neymar to a new four year deal. The Paris based club and Neymar have agreed terms to a contract extension which will keep the Brazilian at the side till the summer of 2025.
The new contract will see Neymar pocket a staggering 30 million euros per season plus add ons. The deal also includes a hefty bonus for Neymar in case PSG win the Champions League.
The new deal puts to bed any speculations of Neymar moving away from the club. News had been rife of Neymar wanting to reunite with Lionel Messi, aspirations which were persistently linking him to La Liga side Barcelona.
The new four year extension for the 29 year old Brazilian will all but see him spend the remainder of his career at PSG. Neymar who made the switch to the club in 2017 has gone onto score on 85 occasions and assist on 51 times till date.
Despite failing to justify his hype as a player in the club’s foregone defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League, Neymar has continued to remain an integral figure at PSG. The club based out of Paris was least fazed after Neymar’s horrendous performance in the semi-final of the Champions League.
PSG are now looking to get Kylian Mbappe to pen a lengthy deal at the club. The starlet is undoubtedly the spearhead of the club’s attack, a narrative which was well documented during the club’s Champions League exit.
PSG are currently embroiled in the Ligue 1 title fracas as Mauricio Pochettino eyes his first major trophy with the club.
