“LeBron James looks 100% great, Lakers are back”: Skip Bayless sends out warning bells to Western Conference rivals in James and Schroder’s comeback game
LeBron James threw down an alley-oop dunk assisted by Dennis Schroder early this Saturday, dispelling doubts about his fitness.
The LA Lakers are currently in a play-in berth in the Western Conference playoff situation. There’s a strong chance that they’ll eventually finish in such a berth, unless the Blazers lose to Denver later this weekend.
LeBron James has only played in 2 games all through May. He was scheduled to be back to full fitness at the start of May. But his 2 games back were not convincing on a fitness front at all.
He went back to the drawing board to take some more rest and get his body back in peak shape. The benefits of this became apparent when he took the floor against the Indiana Pacers today.

Skip Bayless talks up LeBron James in his comeback game
The Lakers took down the Indiana Pacers in what amounted to a wire-to-wire win for the Lake Show. This was a crucial game for them, since it keeps them in contention for snagging the 6th seed this season.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis did not take long to establish their impact on this game. The duo shot off to a quick start, leading the Lakers to an 8-point lead at halftime.
The duo demonstrated enough for Skip Bayless to announce that James is indeed, officially, back in contention for the title of the world’s best player. That was his implication from what seems like a heavy-hearted tweet from the Fox Sports host.
Lakers look GREAT. LeBron looks 100% GREAT. AD and DreDrum look unstoppably GREAT. Lakers are BACK.

It seems the Lakers still have a few issues to iron out. Andre Drummond is yet to play a full game with a fully fit roster around him in his 7 weeks in Los Angeles.
Apart from rotations, there are chemistry and fit issues as well. Drummond is clearly not a good enough free throw shooter to finish games out. It will fall to AD to play the center role at the end of games, as it was last year.
