Dark clouds loom over Thiruvananthapuram for T20I decider
‘Rain, Rain go away, come again another day,’ is the phrase that the fans from both sides must be singing right now. The rain threat is there in the T20I decider between India and New Zealand at Green Park Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow.
Even during the T20I decider between India and Australia, the match was called off due to torrential showers in Hyderabad. This saw both the teams sharing the series with 1-1.
Thiruvananthapuram venue is all geared up to host its first T20I match and even before that, there is a risk being involved whether there will be a full-fledged match or not.

The meteorological unit predicted that the weather will be cloudy with showers then and then, also thunderstorms are expected to hit the area till Wednesday.
With superb drainage facilities located in the city, the match would able to continue as quickly as possible even if few spells interrupt the passage of play.
“The super soppers and other facilities are all there and even if it rains during the match time, in 10 minutes after the rain stops, the match will be able to resume,” George told IANS.
Who knows what the future beckons? Hope is the word now for both the nations. Indian fans would be thinking that rain gods should shower the blessings in the form of drops after India wins the series in style.
Kiwis are way ahead of India in T20I charts being placed 2nd. They gave absolutely everything to come from a 0-1 deficit to level the series.
New Zealand are level on ratings with Pakistan and the Green Shirts are placed first because of increase in points. India, No.5 T20I side will look to improve their rankings.
