“The Lakers didn’t play well against the Warriors and it carried over against the Suns”: Magic Johnson blames loss to the Suns in Game 1 on LeBron James and Anthony Davis for being out of rhythm

Magic Johnson takes to Twitter to say that LeBron James and the Lakers looked out of sync and out of rhythm against the Phoenix Suns. 

The Los Angeles Lakers seemed to have waltzed into the Talking Stick Resort Arena as the supposed favorites to win the series against the 2 seeded Phoenix Suns last night. It’s safe to say that Chris Paul and Devin Booker won’t be going down without a fight; the way they played last night, they might not even go down for all anyone knows. 

DeAndre Ayton gave Anthony Davis a boatload of trouble down low, on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. Devin Booker on the other hands, torched the Lakers defense for 34 points in his Playoff debut. Not to mention, they outperformed the Lakers while Chris Paul was essentially a non-factor in the game as he had merely 7 points due to a right shoulder injury sustained early on.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been dealing with a bevy of issues in terms of injuries. Most notably, LeBron James has been in and out of the lineup due to a shaky right ankle situation. 

Magic Johnson believes the Lakers and LeBron James are out of sync with one another. 

Due to the relatively low minutes LeBron James has played alongside his fellow Laker teammates this season, the squad as a whole seems to be a tad bit out of it on both ends of the floor. Of course, when the reigning Finals MVP and the floor general isn’t at a 100%, the entirety of the team cannot will also be lacking in certain aspects. 

Magic Johnson certainly believes so as he took to Twitter to give his usual updates on how he feels the Lakers have performed the night before. The usual optimist had little to no good things to say when it came to the purple and gold’s performance against the Phoenix Suns.

The @Lakers didn’t play well in their play in game against the Warriors and it carried over to Game 1 against the Suns. They’re out of sync and not in rhythm offensively.
