“Scott Foster, nobody wants to watch you blow your damn whistle”: Kendrick Perkins blasts referees as LeBron James leads Lakers to Game 3 win vs Suns
Kendrick Perkins put Scott Foster and the refereeing crew for Lakers vs Suns Game 3 on blast in a Twitter halftime rant.
The Lakers emerged with the W after staving off the resurgent Suns in the 4th quarter. There were points in the second half when it seemed like the Lakers would run away with the game. But the Suns kept coming back, much like they did in Game 2.
Neither LeBron James nor Anthony Davis was in the mood to play around, however. The duo got off to a fast start and kept the Lakers’ offense humming with consistent scoring and facilitating. It was ultimately their offense that carried the Lakers to the W as they ended up scoring more than 50% of their team’s points.
Deandre Ayton did his level best to hold the fort down. But he couldn’t put himself into foul trouble as the team’s best defensive and offensive option on the night. He finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds – stats that undermine his true impact on the game.
But perhaps the most decisive person at the Staples Center was Scott Foster. The veteran referee caught the notice of several viewers after calling some ticky-tacky fouls all game long.
Kendrick Perkins calls out Scott Foster for his officiating in Lakers vs Suns
It seems that Kendrick Perkins is in the same camp as the rest of us with regards to how we view officials. Just like most NBA fans, Perkins believes they’re trying too hard to keep the game clean.
Perkins went off on Scott Foster regarding some of the foul calls at halftime of the game: “Can somebody tell Scott Foster that nobody wants to watch him blow his damn whistle all night! God Bless America.”
Can somebody tell Scott Foster that nobody wants to watch him blow his damn whistle all night! God Bless America. Carry on…

Perhaps the NBA would do better than to entrust crucial playoff games to a crew consisting of Brothers or Foster. Then again, these are 2 of the more experienced referees, and there are situations when this comes in handy.
