Former Ferrari boss Maurizio Arrivabene rumoured to be the next CEO of Juventus
Maurizio Arrivabene could be announced as the new CEO of Juventus as the fallen Italian giants look to gain ground in the league and Europe.
After a dismal Serie A season which saw them slip down to 4th, Juventus have already started preparing for the new season. As part of it, club legend Andrea Pirlo was removed as the manager, to be replaced by their former manager Max Allegri.
Along with Pirlo, sporting director Fabio Paratici has also being shown the door, after more than a decade of service to the club. If il Giornale via TuttoJuve are to be believed, club legend Paulo Nedved could also follow the exit door. The Czech great is considered close to the Agnelli family and is an important member of the Juventus board.
Most significantly, as per la Gazzetta dello Sport via Calciomercato, former Ferrari F1 team principal Maurizio Arrivabene could be appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the football club.
The Agnelli family controls both the football and F1 teams, and Arrivabene is considered to be a close confidant of Andrea Agnelli. He was the Ferrari team boss between 2014 and 2018, following which Mattia Binotto was brought in.

If this holds true, then Arrivabene will effectively replace Giuseppe Marotta, who was the last CEO until 2018. The highly sought-after executive is currently the CEO of Italian champions Inter Milan. Sassuolo’s Giovanni Carnevali is also being tipped to be an option to be Marotta’s successor.
Arrivabene has also worked with Philip Morris International, one of the key partners of the Ferrari Formula 1 team, and is a member of the Juventus Board of Directors.
