“Does Steve Nash want to bury the Celtics psychologically?”: Skip Bayless questions Kevin Durant and the Nets’ starters playing till late in a blowout win
Co-host of Undefeated Skip Bayless wonders the motives Steve Nash had behind playing Kevin Durant and the other starters till late
The Brooklyn Nets reminded us all tonight how strong they are, as a team. After a Game 3 loss, the Big 3 came back strong and cleaned up their act. The Nets secured a rather comfortable 141-126 win over the Celtics in TD Garden. The series now heads back to Brooklyn for Game 5. Kevin Durant stepped up big time, scoring 42 points and dishing 5 assists. Kyrie Irving, after a mediocre Game 3, broke loose and scored 39 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. James Harden scored 23 points and dished 18 assists.
As for the Celtics, the absence of Kemba Walker impacted them quite a bit. Jayson Tatum scored a team-high 40 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. There were 5 other Celtics scoring in double digits, but none provided enough support to Tatum to lead them to a win.
‘Why were Kevin Durant and co. still on the floor?’: Skip Bayless
Despite the Nets having a stronghold on the game, the Big 3 and the other starters were still on the court. This did not sit quite right with Skip Bayless, who usually is always against stars playing ‘Garbage time’. He has often had a gala time roasting LeBron James for doing so.
However, when it came to the team he’s supporting, Skip had a totally different approach. He believes Steve Nash had a greater plan behind the same. According to Skip, Nash wants to destroy the psyche of the Celtics’ team before Game 5.
No idea why Steve Nash still has his Big 3 and starters in this late in a blowout. Does he just WANT to run it up on the Celtics and bury them psychologically? Dangerous game he’s playing.

Whatever the idea was, we would get to see whether it worked or not in Game 5. Jayson Tatum and co. would come full steam, as Game 5 would be Win-or-G0-Home for them. As for the Nets, they have their work cut out for them.
