Giannis Antetokounmpo knows he has to be the man if the Bucks are to have any shot of taking down the Brooklyn Nets superteam.

In game 3, Giannis proved he can be that guy and so much more. The Greek Freak logged the most playoff minutes of his career as he played for 42:59. He was sensational in every facet of the game. He was scoring, rebounding, and defending all at high levels.

Milwaukee found a way to get back into the series as they stole an 86-83 victory in front of their home crowd. The Greek Freak along with Khris Middleton gave the Bucks exactly what they needed to take Brooklyn down.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Gives Brooklyn Fits, Ruins Chances Of A Sweep As Milwaukee Wins Close Game 3

As game 3 hung in the balance, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton rose to the occasion to deliver a much needed victory.

Giannis and Middleton both finished with double-doubles as the Greek Freak scored 33 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while Middleton added 35 of his own with 15 rebounds. Head Coach Mike Budenholzer has often restricted Giannis’ minutes so that his superstar doesn’t get gassed out.

In fact, the 42:59 that Giannis logged in game 3 was the most he’s played in a game since a playoff game in 2018. The Bucks were matched up against the Boston Celtics in the first round and the Bucks’ head coach back then was Joe Prunty.

Budenholzer finally let his superstar free, and the results were more than satisfactory. Milwaukee is looking for anything they can get in this series, and if it means that Giannis has to log over 40 minutes a game, then maybe that’s the direction they go in.

Brooklyn is currently playing without one member of their big three as James Harden nurses an ankle injury, but they were able to walk away with massive wins in both game 1 and 2. Kevin Durant has often looked like the best player in the world while Kyrie Irving has continued his hot form from the regular season.

However, they weren’t enough in game 2. Bruce Brown took a questionable shot late in the game instead of Durant and Irving and now the Nets find themselves in a series. Of course, this could all be irrelevant when they come back and win game 4 like they did against Boston, but for now, Milwaukee has proved that they have some fight in them.
